Grey Nurse Guardians Marine Education & Interpretation provides you with a fantastic opportunity to learn and teach about all things marine. Rather than focusing on negative human impacts, we focus on what can be achieved by individuals experiencing the world for themselves and taking action to protect it.

What We Do. Our marine environment needs our help. Education and interpretation are fascinating and motivating ways develop the capacity needed to save our wondrous marine life and the resources it provides us with. With a staff of Marine Scientists and Educators, one of our key focuses is involving school students and the community in real Marine Research. However Grey Nurse Guardians offers a wide range of programs and services, which are outlined here on our website. GNG Background. I set up Grey Nurse Guardians Marine Education & Interpretation in 2005 for the purpose of Conservation through Education. I have always had a love of the ocean, and always dreamed of turning my passion into my career. In 2005 I completed a Bachelors Degree in Marine Science and this year completed my Masters Degree in Environmental Education. The last 10 years have cemented my view that healthy people need healthy oceans. Furthermore, healthy oceans need passionate people. Hopefully, this is where Grey Nurse Guardians will come in - encouraging people to discover what lies beneath the surface and do what they can to conserve it.
