Grey Nurse Guardians Marine Education & Interpretation has a uniquely positive way of getting people excited about the sea and its inhabitants. We offer a range of programs including Snorkelling Surveys/Tours, Rockpool Discoveries, and a Mobile Touch Tank full of Sydney locals of the marine kind! GNG is a highly regarded, professional organisation with years of experience and relevant qualifications.

What We Do. Education and interpretation are fascinating and motivating ways develop the capacity needed to protect our wondrous marine life and the resources it provides us with. With a staff of Marine Scientists and Educators, one of our key focuses is involving school students and the community in real Marine Research. However Grey Nurse Guardians offers a wide range of programs and services, which are outlined here on our website. We are Sydney based, and take a local perspective for all our programs. All the intricate creatures you'll find in our touch tanks are collected (with license) from local, Sydney sites. If you can’t find anything to meet your needs, contact us and we’ll develop a program just for you!

GNG Background. I set up Grey Nurse Guardians Marine Education & Interpretation in 2005 for the purpose of Conservation through Education. I have always had a love of the ocean, and always dreamed of turning my passion into my career. In 2005 I completed a Bachelors Degree in Marine Science and in 2010 completed my Masters Degree in Environmental Education. Grey Nurse Guardians has all the relevant insurance, safety requirements, permits and licenses to conduct our programs. 

The last 10 years have cemented my view that healthy people need healthy oceans. Furthermore, healthy oceans need passionate people. Hopefully, this is where Grey Nurse Guardians comes in - encouraging people to discover what lies beneath the surface, and to do what they can to conserve it.
